Description

A sporty base layer jumper in soft merino wool. The sweater has a low round neck (crew neck). Side panels move the seams to the front and back of the jumper for a close fit and maximum comfort during activity. Flatlock seams prevent rubbing against the skin during movement. The underarm panel is knitted in a contrasting colour. Aksla is a great base layer for both cold and hot days. It can also be worn as a thin, next-to-skin jumper. Team it with the Askla base layer pants for a complete look.

Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) certification ensures that the wool in this garment has been responsibly produced. The certification includes requirements for animal welfare (including a ban on mulesing), working conditions and that production respects biodiversity and the sustainable use of land.

The story behind
The sweater is inspired by our Lahti men's sweater, which was the official world championship sweater for the Norwegian cross-country skiing team in Lahti in 2017. It takes its name from the Aksla mountain in the centre of Ålesund. With 418 steps to the top, the city mountain is a popular interval training venue for the city's residents.
